Request removal of your DiningScan.com account and associated personal data.

You can request deletion of your DiningScan.com account and the personal data we hold about you. This page explains how to submit a request, what we delete, what we may retain, and how long processing takes.
1. How to Request Account Deletion
You may request deletion using either of the following methods:
- Web form on this page — complete the form below with the email address registered to your account.
- Email — send a message to diningscan@163.com with the subject line Account Deletion Request and include your registered email address.
- Contact form — use our Contact page, select Account Deletion as the subject, and include your registered email.
If you use the DiningScan.com mobile app, you may also submit a deletion request while signed in via My Account → Help & Contact → Contact Us. For Google Play data safety requirements, this web page remains available without signing in.
2. Data That Will Be Deleted
After we verify your request, we will delete or anonymize the following data associated with your account, where applicable:
- Account credentials and profile information (email address, birth date, gender, and related profile fields)
- Food photos and images uploaded for analysis or saved meal records
- Ingredient lists and nutrition analysis results
- Meal records, daily nutrition logs, and related saved analysis history
- Pending or completed mobile analysis jobs and temporary analysis images on our servers
- Password reset tokens and mobile app authentication tokens
- Contact form and support messages tied to your account or submitted email
- Shared nutrition report links (share tokens) associated with your records
- Google Play purchase reference data stored on our servers for membership (order ID, purchase token, product ID)
3. Data That May Be Retained
We may retain certain information when required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Transaction and billing records — subscription payment history, amounts, dates, payment provider references (Google Play or PayPal), and transaction status may be retained for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and legal compliance, typically for up to 7 years or longer if required by applicable law.
- Legal and security records — information we must keep to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or protect the security of our services.
- Aggregated or de-identified data — data that no longer identifies you may be retained for analytics and service improvement.
Retained data is limited to what is necessary and is not used for marketing unrelated to your deleted account.
4. Processing Time
We will acknowledge your request and begin processing within 7 business days. Account and associated personal data are typically deleted within 30 days of verification. If we need additional information to verify your identity, we will contact you at the email address you provide.
5. Active Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play or PayPal subscription. Please cancel your subscription in Google Play or PayPal before or after requesting deletion to avoid future charges.
